Everyone receives a hot dog, chips and soda for lunch. Bring your own poles and bait. Prizes awarded for shortest, longest, most fish caught and most unique catch in each age group. Participants are divided into age groups of 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, 13-17 and fathers.
Brookfield Zoo | Brookfield June 17, Noon
Features a tasty menu of baby back ribs, chicken, slow-roasted strip loin carved to order, corn-on-the-cob, and grilled vegetables, as well as a children’s buffet of macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, and pizza. Plus, homemade apple cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream.

Fathers receive complimentary general admission and will have the opportunity to view up close two vintage cars from the early 20th century. A 1927 Pierce Arrow Model 80 Runabout roadster and a 1929 Packard 645 Dual Cowl Phaeton will be parked in front of the museum’s entrance (weather permitting). Guided tours include a behind-the-scenes visit to Samuel M. Nickerson’s billiards room.

How many times have you been to the Botanic Garden and thought, “Boy I’d like to get out on those lakes?” This Father’s Day weekend, you’ll have six chances with the Father’s Day Canoe Adventure. Join Bob Kirschner, the Garden’s aquatic biologist, as he guides you through the lakes and explains their nationally-recognized shoreline restoration program. All skill levels welcome.
